Who I can help:
I provide support to families at all ages through the lifespan. I have specialized training and experience in working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Therapy with children under 6 years old always includes a primary caregiver in the room. I also work with older children, pre-teens, teenagers, and adults, both individually and with family members.

My approach:
I will work closely with you to understand and find the best way to address what you, your child, and your family are experiencing. I will want to get to know who your family is - emotionally, physically, and culturally - and how you became a family. Based on your preferences and style as a parent, as well as your child's developmental stage, I will suggest strategies to improve communication, manage behavior, and respond effectively to your child's distress. I will also encourage you to explore your own reactions, feelings, and coping strategies in ways that work for you.
Children naturally communicate through play, so individual child, family, and child-parent sessions will involve child-led play and art activities appropriate to the developmental stage and preferences of your child. I will also, in collaboration with you, facilitate conversations to encourage your child to put their experience into words and reinforce healthy patterns of communication within your family.
